What is SIAM™?
Service integration and management (SIAM™) is a management methodology that can be applied in an environment that includes services sourced from a number of service providers.
SIAM has a different level of focus to traditional multi-sourced ecosystems with one customer and multiple suppliers. It provides governance, management, integration, assurance, and coordination to ensure that the customer organization gets maximum value from its service providers.
Where did SIAM come from?
SIAM™ is a rapidly developing area of service management, and one that is closely associated with multiple disciplines including IT service management, enterprise architecture, organisational change management, quality management and risk management.
In 2016, Scopism, a management consultancy, worked with a team of experts from companies including Atos, TCS and Sopra Steria to create the SIAM Foundation Body of Knowledge. In 2017 Scopism also released the SIAM Professional Body of Knowledge.
Who is SIAM for?
SIAM™ certification is aimed at professionals worldwide who have an interest in the practices of Service Integration and Management or that want to implement this methodology in an organisation, in particular those professionals who are already working with IT Service Management processes.
